About Me
My
name is Cindy Cater and I live in Taylors, SC.
This is a wonderful area in which to live, the mountains are only minutes away and the beach is an easy drive. I
work in the medical field but have always drawn, sketched,
painted....and done many things of a creative nature. In 2004, I bought my first, very inexpensive digital camera and fell in
love! After a couple of years and much research, I bought a Nikon D40x.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Nikon and have spent many happy hours
photographing anything and everything that catches my eye. I like to
think that I notice details--parts of the whole--that most people don't
notice. I have translated my interest in drawing and painting to my
photography with the manipulations I do to pictures. Not to improve
them, but just to see them from a different point of view. Even though I am a late-comer to
photography, I love nothing more than spending a day searching for
interesting sites to photograph. I do a lot of nature scenes, with
flowers, clouds and skies being my main focus.
There is so much beauty
in the world that, due to our busy lives, we tend to not notice. I
would like to show others how I see the world around me.
